A nonprofit built on a simple promise: care should reach you.
The Rested Mind, Inc. began as a small Vermont practice focused on compassionate mental health care. Today, we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to expanding that care far beyond what any single clinic could offer.

To expand access to high-quality mental health care for veterans, underserved populations, and individuals across the lifespan — through clinical services, holistic wellness, and community education.
Our Story
The Rested Mind began as a small clinical practice rooted in a single belief: that mental health care should be high-quality, family-centered, and reachable. We focused on children's psychopharmacology, therapy, and medication management for adults and veterans — always with the lowest effective intervention and the family at the center of treatment.
Over time, the need we saw outgrew what a single practice could meet. Veterans were navigating long waits. Families were stretched thin. Rural and underserved communities were going without. So we made a decision: to restructure as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, opening the door to grants, donations, and partnerships that allow us to serve far more people — at sliding-scale rates, virtually today, and from a dedicated wellness facility tomorrow.
We continue to honor the clinical roots of our founder while building something larger: a place where therapy, holistic wellness, nutrition education, and outdoor programming come together in service of mental health.
Sliding-scale, virtual, and grant-funded care.
Trauma-informed care for those who served.
Internships and workforce development.
A future facility. A growing community. The same quiet promise.
Our next chapter includes a dedicated wellness center, retreat-style programming for veterans, and partnerships with community organizations across New England — all anchored by the same commitment to compassionate, accessible mental health care.
